Chatham is where undeniable honest-to-goodness fun meets minimalist efficiency. This bike flaunts a hand-built and shock-absorbent steel frame and a paint job inspired by 1960s surfer charm. Hop on a for a head-turning, envy-inducing cruise.

Chatham is constructed from a hand-built steel shock-absorbent frame. The durable pedals are made from hard plastic with a boron steel axel. Command your ride with Retrospec’s Swingback Bars and KT built-in coaster brake. Wanda tires grip to the path ahead and easily adapt to slick conditions, bumpy roads, and grassy straights.

The hand-built frame has a thicker top tube and is made of steel, all of which better absorb shock of the road. Wanda tires are wider to grip the road and evenly distribute weight. The wide cruiser saddle and high handlebars with cushy grips allow a relaxed ride that is easier on your back.

Chatham-1 has an extremely straightforward build. The single-speed drivetrain and foot-operated brake mean an extra sleek silhouette without any cables. There are fewer parts to this bike and therefore less need for frequent maintenance. The upgraded pedals are lightweight and extra durable with boron steel axles.

Let a beach cruiser facilitate all of your adventures. Ride it to work. Ride it home. Ride it to class. Ride it all the places with undeniable delight.

    Measuring Inseam

Inseam is the most important metric to consider when deciding on bike size. In order to take this measurement properly, follow these guidelines:

    1. Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
    2. Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
    3. Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

      Love These!

After looking at many options, most more expensive, I decided to purchase 2 of these to ride around the roads of Lake Erie. They arrived on time, took 30 minutes each to assemble, and my whole family love them! Very comfortable, sturdy, and adjustable to many heights of people! For the money, a great buy!

I want to love this but there’s one major problem

I want to give this bike an amazing review but I’m having one major problem. I want to love this bike, I want to give it five stars. The bike arrived promptly and it looks beautiful. It was super easy to put together and the first bike ride was pristine. Super smooth and fast but then I noticed a clinking clanking sound coming from the back hub gear area. At first I just dismissed it but the next day I was riding the bike at a higher speed and the gear completely failed, went into neutral. I thought the chain slipped off the bike but the chain was still attached. I was peddling again and then the gear went into full brake mode (I have the single speed cruiser model). I asked my local repair shop what the issue was and they said it sounds like the hub needs to be rebuilt or replaced. They said it would cost 25 dollars to do so. I’ve been emailing retrospec and the customer service representative Zak has been very helpful and friendly but retrospec will not give me a credit to have my hub replaced and they don’t know when a spare wheel will be available to fix my bike. Once the bike is fixed I’ll update this review to let everyone know if the hub is just a low quality one or if the one I got is a lemon.
