Mantra is our premium fixie/single-speed. Quick response dual braking, sealed bearing hubs, and dripping with style, Mantra is your go-to for your every commuting, cruising, zipping, coasting and speeding need.

Mantra comes standard with sealed cartridge bearing hubs to keep your bike clean and healthy. Less dampness, water, and grime can get into the delicate parts of your bike when the hubs are sealed. This means less required maintenance and a longer living bicycle.

Mantra comes installed on the single-speed side. This is a bike you can ride regularly and quickly and easily transform into a fixed-gear whenever you like.

We have very high standards. Every single element that goes anywhere near our bikes undergoes serious scrutiny. The Kenda commuter tires we pick have a unique tread with water dispersion grooves. There is more surface area on these tires and water travels through the channels on the tire. This means you have more traction and better grip on the road but also minimal resistance. The double-wall super deep-V Star rims with a machined braking surface and the always dependable KMC chain ensure a smooth ride.

We strongly suggest that you take your bike to a professional bicycle mechanic to be built and/or checked out to ensure that the cog and lockring are tightened, the brakes adjusted, and the wheels trued.

Measuring Inseam

Inseam is the most important metric to consider when deciding on bike size. In order to take this measurement properly, follow these guidelines:

  1. Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
  2. Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
  3. Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

So Happy

I am so glad that I purchased this bike! I was worried that the bike would be too big or that putting the bike together would be a challenge. However, the bike size was perfect and putting the bike together was fast and painless. I have been riding nonstop since. Highly recommend.

I like this bike so much, I bought 2

I bought this bike 2 years ago and unfortunately it was stolen. But I loved it so much, I bought it again. Its such a simple and easy bike. It's no frills which I love, because it means very few things can break. It's light and easy to carry up or down stairs. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Great Starter Fixie/Single

First, I have to say that I absolutely love my Mantra. I got it for a smoking good deal. In my opinion, it's worth every single penny. That's not to say that this is a top-of-the-line bicycle by any means. There are obvious areas in which costs were cut, like the brake levers, which have way too much play and feel like they're made of brittle metal. The seat post and pedals are generic as generic comes. But other areas where a few splurges helped raise the level of the machine. I appreciate the forged crankset. I appreciate the sealed hubs. I appreciate the durable and rideable Kenda tires, which have taken a lot of miles with good feel and wear. Could it use a chromoly frame instead of a hi-ten steel one? Can't replace the "feel of steel," right? Well, to get that 6160 goodness, carbon forks, nice brake set? You have to step up to the Drome for that. But, who needs brakes on a fixie anyways? Am I right? It's a super fun bike, as a commuter and city ride. It could probably be used for some light training, but I wouldn't consider it a proper road bike or of that sort. I would definitely recommend this as a great starter fixie, of the same ilk as others in this price range and construction. It's a reasonable first step before you consider stepping up to some a bit costlier.
