Mars three-speed city bike is fully equipped for a clear and refined ride. Mars’ classic hand-built diamond frame is constructed from high-tensile strength steel. A Sturmey Archer 3-speed drivetrain and RevoShift grip shifter lets you shift gears, without shifting focus on your ride.

Mars three-speed diamond city bike embodies clarity and refinement. With an internal 3-speed hub and a lightweight and very durable steel frame, this bike is just about unstoppable.

This bike is equipped with a Sturmey Archer internal hub. Not only has Sturmey Archer been around for over a century, but they’ve also managed to maintain their reputation of excellence throughout it. The internal hub protects the fragile elements from damage and dirt. An unexposed drivetrain means less upkeep over the lifetime of your bike.

Along with the Sturmey Archer three-speed drivetrain, this city bike uses a RevoShift grip shifter. Switching gears with this mechanism is easy and feels natural. Since it’s integrated into the handlebars and grips, you never have to compromise your focus on your ride, which in turn keeps you safer.

Hand-built. Tig-welded. High-tensile strength steel. Oh, and lightweight. Those are all traits of our extremely durable Mars diamond frame. Its classic shape compliments its undeniable comfort and lasting durability. The progressive geometry encourages an upright riding position, which is ultimately better for your back and neck.

To complete the vintage-inspired look of our city bike line, this three-speed diamond frame is trimmed with a chrome headlight, a mid-century bell, matching fenders, and a polished rear rack. Cushioned grips and saddle make your ride more comfortable, regardless of how far you’re going. Mars city bike is also equipped with front and rear caliper brakes, keeping you safe and in command of your journey, how and when you stop. Kenda commuter tires will prevent slipping, fully gripping the ground even if it’s wet outside.

We strongly suggest that you take your bike to a professional bicycle mechanic to be built and/or checked out. Incorrect assembly of your bike could result in premature wear and/or failure of individual components. The brakes and derailleurs are not yet set up and need to be properly adjusted in order to stop and shift correctly.

Good bike for the price

Ordered on Amazon and it arrived a couple days later in good shape. Even after assembly, I would HIGHLY recommend checking all fasteners for tightness and also making sure the brakes are properly set up. If you aren't sure how to do this yourself, a bike shop can do it for you. The stem can be raised quite a bit if you desire a more upright riding position; I'm 6'2" with a long torso and the 58cm frame has been a great fit with the stem raised. The Good: -Frame looks to be well made, welds look good, not too heavy, I can get to and maintain a good speed (25mph) -3-speed hub is AWESOME. I've been wanting one for a while and it's great to have -Fenders and rack coming as stock equipment on the bike saves the added expense of buying them separately -Wheels appear to be of good quality, the join line is smooth to the touch and almost invisible, spoke holes aren't overly large -Very smart looking and stylish, I got a handful of compliments from random folks on the first day I took it for a spin The Neutral: a matter of preference: -Front light isn't particularly bright, firmly falls in to the "be seen" category. I ride at night quite a bit and will be upgrading -No rear light. I bought the "Fenderbot" fender mounting light from Portland Design Works and it fits perfectly and is quite bright -The rubber grips aren't my favorite, going to make a set out of leather (made leather grips for a bike that I wound up giving to my girlfriend, and they were quite comfortable!) -Same goes for the saddle, it's comfortable enough but I'll be putting a Brooks on there as a matter of personal preference Could be improved: -I was doing a 50 mile check and readjustment of components last night and I noticed the crank is eccentric when it turns. I understand a bit of eccentricity is normal in even the best cranks, but it was easily visible. I've got a few spare cranks laying around I may swap in if it causes trouble That's about the only deficit I noticed. For $320 it's a very good bike, and you're always able to upgrade components if something isn't to your liking. I would indeed buy it again and may very well do so with the Venus model as a gift for my girlfriend.

Great 3 Speed city cruiser

Assembly was easy but the instructions could have been better. Bike looks great and is solid, Raleign internal hub takes time to get used to shifting the gears.
