I purchased a Mars and a Venus for my wife and I... we love them!
Good bike for the price
Ordered on Amazon and it arrived a couple days later in good shape. Even after assembly, I would HIGHLY recommend checking all fasteners for tightness and also making sure the brakes are properly set up. If you aren't sure how to do this yourself, a bike shop can do it for you. The stem can be raised quite a bit if you desire a more upright riding position; I'm 6'2" with a long torso and the 58cm frame has been a great fit with the stem raised. The Good: -Frame looks to be well made, welds look good, not too heavy, I can get to and maintain a good speed (25mph) -3-speed hub is AWESOME. I've been wanting one for a while and it's great to have -Fenders and rack coming as stock equipment on the bike saves the added expense of buying them separately -Wheels appear to be of good quality, the join line is smooth to the touch and almost invisible, spoke holes aren't overly large -Very smart looking and stylish, I got a handful of compliments from random folks on the first day I took it for a spin The Neutral: a matter of preference: -Front light isn't particularly bright, firmly falls in to the "be seen" category. I ride at night quite a bit and will be upgrading -No rear light. I bought the "Fenderbot" fender mounting light from Portland Design Works and it fits perfectly and is quite bright -The rubber grips aren't my favorite, going to make a set out of leather (made leather grips for a bike that I wound up giving to my girlfriend, and they were quite comfortable!) -Same goes for the saddle, it's comfortable enough but I'll be putting a Brooks on there as a matter of personal preference Could be improved: -I was doing a 50 mile check and readjustment of components last night and I noticed the crank is eccentric when it turns. I understand a bit of eccentricity is normal in even the best cranks, but it was easily visible. I've got a few spare cranks laying around I may swap in if it causes trouble That's about the only deficit I noticed. For $320 it's a very good bike, and you're always able to upgrade components if something isn't to your liking. I would indeed buy it again and may very well do so with the Venus model as a gift for my girlfriend.
Great 3 Speed city cruiser
Assembly was easy but the instructions could have been better. Bike looks great and is solid, Raleign internal hub takes time to get used to shifting the gears.
the bike looks great and rides great. The only thing is this size 50 is bigger than normal. Im 5'6 and it slightly big for me.
