Venus-3 is simplicity evolved, a versatile step-thru three-speed that checks every box. The intuitive handlebar-integrated RevoShift and Sturmey Archer three-speed internal hub allows you to shift gears without compromising your safety or focus.

Venus three speed step-thru city bike takes the classic step-thru silhouette and combines it with top-of-the line, industry-renowned components. With three speeds, there’s even less you can’t do with this bike.

Sturmey Archer has been in the game for a very long time. They’ve been building top-of-the-line drivetrains and derailleurs for over 113 years. The three-speed internal hub protects fragile elements from damage and dirt. This means less maintenance throughout the lifetime of your bike.

The RevoShift grip shifter makes switching gears as easy as 1, 2, 3. The handlebar-integrated grip shifter is intuitive and allows you to shift gears without compromising your safety or focus. With your hands always on the handlebars, you can also be more prepared to brake quickly if necessary.

The downward angled top tube of the step-thru frame creates a shorter standover height, making mounting and dismounting easier. Though originally designed for women sporting Victorian-era hoop skirts and intricately layered dresses, the step-thru frame has gained popularity among both men and women for its ease of use and comfortable riding. The progressive frame geometry is designed for an upright riding position, which is more comfortable and better for your back. The high-tensile strength steel frame is hand-built and tig-welded for increased durability during daily use.

Venus city bikes take a page out of the Pleasantville playbook. A chrome headlight, mid-century bell, matching fenders, and polished rear rack evoke a specific nostalgia circa 1955. Ride comfortably on plush vegan grips and saddle. Front and rear brakes keep you safe and keep you in control of your ride, speed, and stopping. Venus city bike is also equipped with Kenda commuter tires for good grip, even when it’s wet. The water dispersion grooves allow liquid to travel through the channels of the tread without reducing traction.

We strongly suggest that you take your bike to a professional bicycle mechanic to be built and/or checked out. Incorrect assembly of your bike could result in premature wear and/or failure of individual components. The brakes and derailleurs are not yet set up and need to be properly adjusted in order to stop and shift correctly.

Measuring Inseam

Inseam is the most important metric to consider when deciding on bike size. In order to take this measurement properly, follow these guidelines:

  1. Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
  2. Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
  3. Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

Great bike great service

I ordered this bike for my my wife's Mother's Day present. It arrived in time, and out of the box, it looked great. Unfortunately, I discovered that the front fender was dented beyond repair, so I emailed the company and submitted a warranty claim. Within a working day, I was contacted by Javier, and after a couple of emails, they agreed to send a replacement for the damaged part. It has yet to arrive, but I thought the service was friendly and timely. I've assembled a Retrospec Mars already, and based on that, I can say that the bikes are easy to assemble and are a fun ride. Be sure to look for assembly instructions on the website because there isn't a hard copy included with the bikes.

Nice proportions, pleasant ride

This is a very nice Dutch-style commuter bike, with graceful lines and an efficient internal gear hub. The luggage rack is sturdy and the bike itself is not too heavy. The only improvements I could make would be a sprung saddle and a quick-release seat collar, but other than that I have no complaints. One note: although the color is described as "cream" it's really more of a "lemon meringue" - quite a nice hue, but a lot more yellow than it looks in the pictures.
