I’ve had the board for a little over a month now and take it out at least 2x a week on lakes and rivers. Several friends got different brands in the same and I think the retrospec is the best value! It looks great, is light weight, has the extra bungie cords on the front to keep stuff secure, and comes with the best quality pump. I took my 65lb dog on it this past weekend and it held up well even with her jumping off of it (she thinks its fun) and me pulling her back up over and over again. I do wish there were a few extra D rings on the back half and unfortunately the paddle will not lock when adjusting the extension anymore but overall I love the board!
The board is easy to inflate and put together. Manually it took about 5-7 minutes, but I took my time. The board is sturdy and easy to maneuver. It's a bit narrow for yoga, so if that's what you are looking for, I would get a wider board. The paddle floats. Instructions for easier deflation were obtained by emailing Retrospec, (turning the valve to keep it in open position) . Overall I am very happy with the board and extremely happy with the customer service from Retrospec. I would recommend this company and SUP to a friend.
It's very lightweight and easy to fill, but I don't think it's as durable as my other iSUP. Love how easy it is to put on the fins. Expected it to be more stable since it has three fins but it's not bad. Started having a problem with it losing psi during use today. Hopefully it was just a fluke. Have not used the pump, highly recommend some kind of electric pump for inflation. The bag is fine. The waterproof phone case is very similar to a cheap one I got on Amazon a few years ago so I use another one and leave this one as a backup. Overall, good value for the money...but I've only used it four times in the last month.
Have used it a few times on the lakes of Wisconsin and I love it. Easy to inflate/deflate and so much easier to haul compared to my other (non-inflatable) board. I will very likely order a second for my daughter to use.
Like a lot of people, we've been trying new activities while hunkered down trying to avoid this virus. We are surrounded by water in West Michigan and thought, why not try paddle boarding?! We purchased TWO weekender boards (the blue and the green). They were super easy to set up. Everything we needed was in the handy bag that comes with the boards. Our eight year old sat on the front of the board while we paddled around. We are really happy with the purchase and if we need another board in the future, Retrospec will be on our list to buy from again!
