Strategic Account Manager 

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships, driving strategic growth initiatives, and strengthening key relationships. The SAM works closely with dealers to understand their goals and needs, leveraging the company's products or services to create tailored solutions to fuel dealer growth. The role is pivotal in increasing customer retention, expanding account revenue, and fostering long-term partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Understand the clients’ business, industry trends, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategic account plans to identify customer goals and align them with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development) to ensure client needs are met.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within accounts to drive growth.
  • Track and report on key account metrics, such as revenue, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead program negotiations and renewals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
  • Stay updated on market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on customer preferences, industry developments, and potential innovations.

Requirements

  • Manage multiple complex relationships and tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient with CRM, project management tools, and data analysis.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets expertise.
  • Comfortable with budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong preparation for business strategy and planning.
  • Outdoor Sports Industry is a plus, but open to other industries with proven sales skills.
