Gear ratio is much higher than I would like for casual riding. In addition, the rear wheel came very un-true. (I suppose a simple bike shop visit can fix this, but I am basing this off of out-of-the-box performance). Besides those two nuances, a very good bike for the cheap price. It's light, easily assembled and adjusted, and has good pedals/chain/brakes, and those are often overlooked in cheap bikes.
Bike set up took minor elbow grease thanks to it coming partially built. I’ve had short and lengthy trips mixed of city and smooth bike trails and each time has been great, I am 5’2 and have been able to ride very comfortably and confidently by choosing the XS model. Thank you Retrospec! :)
Bike is not great, kind of flimsy and has very cheap parts. After expressing concerns with customer service regarding Retrospec shipping issues and a missing manual, the agent proceeded to blame me rather than taking responsibility. Very disappointing customer experience.
The tires are not great at holding air and my seat becomes loose every time I ride it but honestly you're still getting your moneys worth and then some. Its nice to ride and it is just all around stress free unlike if I was using a few hundred/thousand dollar road bike.
Directions to put the bike together were not well written, have had problems with the seat and the bike tires constantly deflate
