This is fun board
I am into sailing, and I also Kayak. I got fedup with the ****** kayak. What a pain to lug it around, total dog to paddle. I have a sit on top, plastic variety kayak, of about $600, so not the cheapest kayak, but maybe, mine is just not a streamlined one. So I bought the SUP, and thought to give it a try. Before the Plastic kayak I had an inflatable kayak. Total junk, it was a low pressure type. This SUP is hard , and really stiff when inflated. My first suggestion is, to have two paddles. One long one for standing, and a regular two sided kayak paddle for sitting. If the water is very choppy, I sit or kneel and use the kayak paddle. So much easier to paddle, and faster than the kayak. In SUP mode, its also fun. You can get decent speed fairly easy. I have been using it on local river. To go SUP upstream, into a fast flowing current is a great workout and fun too. This SUP is very stable, I have no issues standing up on it. I am happy with this purchase, really nice board, very convenient. Throw it in the trunk, and set it up within 15 minutes. Yes, the pumping is a workout all on it's own. Well worth it.
