I love my new Mixte City 7-speed. Having managed to reach my seventies, climbing on and wrangling a deraileur bike was getting to be a bit much. This is the perfect bike for my daily ride around Lake Merritt in Oakland. It's easy to get on and off, the gears shift beautifully and the brakes are a major upgrade from my 40-year-old Bridgestone. Hey, and it looks pretty darn snazzy, too. Thanks for such a great product.

It gets the job done. If itâ€™s your first bike itâ€™s great. If youâ€™re an avid biker I wouldnâ€™t suggest this bike. The parts are a bit flimsy and really arenâ€™t meant for constant commuter use. My bike broke within the first 3 weeks of me having it. My local bike shop was able to fix it and Retrospec sent me the part that needed replacing which was great. But ultimately, I just wouldnâ€™t suggest this for constant commuter use. Iâ€™d recommend going to your local bike shop. That way you can see the bike in person, feel the parts and know if it would hold for what youâ€™re needing. If you want a casual bike to ride from time to time. Then this one is great for that!

Well made

This is my fourth Retrospec bike (two were stolen with locks attached in Hollywood Florida). Easy to assemble. I have found that bikes delivered for assembly will sometimes have wheels that need to be "trued" to stop the misalignment of brakes. This is not the case with Retrospec bikes. This Kinney bike went together easily (finished in thirty minutes) and gear transitions and brakes work very well.
