Terms of Warranty
To claim this Warranty, you must provide a dated proof of original retail purchase to Retrospec. This applies whether you are the original purchaser or a subsequent owner.
During the Warranty period, Retrospec will either repair the product, replace a part or, at its discretion, replace it with the same or most comparable product available at the time. Please note that since we do not keep inventory indefinitely, an exact replacement part or color may not be available. If a replacement is provided, the original product must be returned to Retrospec before the replacement is sent, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Retrospec. If Retrospec deems a replacement part is necessary, the component may differ from the original component but will be of equal or greater value.
Unauthorized Repairs & Modifications
Any modifications, alterations, opening of, or re/dis-connecting of electrical components or non-electric components by original purchaser without explicit written instruction from Retrospec Technical Support will void the warranty of electric & non-electric components.
Your Retrospec bicycle and its components have been designed and tested to perform safely and correctly for their intended purpose. Retrospec does not recommend the replacement of original equipment parts with non-original aftermarket components.
Retrospec cannot guarantee the performance of non-original aftermarket products installed or modifications made to its bicycles, including aftermarket power sources including, but not limited to, electric or gasoline motors, or that the product will perform correctly when non-original equipment has been installed. Any such modifications can exceed the design limits of the product and degrade its performance creating an unsafe condition for the user. The installation of non-original equipment parts may damage the frame and/or other components causing them to fail prematurely and/or catastrophically with the potential of causing serious injury to the rider including death.
ANY MODIFICATIONS MADE TO YOUR RETROSPEC PRODUCT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE REPLACEMENT OF PARTS OR COMPONENTS WITH NON-ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT OR THE ADDITION OF AFTERMARKET MOTORS VOIDS THE ENTIRE WARRANTY.
