How to measure my inseam for a bike

Your inseam can help you find the perfect sized bike (measuring it properly is similar to pant inseams but measured a little differently). Here's how they work:

  1. Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
  2. Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
  3. Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

50CM - S 5'2"-5'5" 30.5"
54CM - M 5'6"-5'8" 32"

    Great city bike!

Took me an hour to put this bike together plus another 15 minutes to make sure everything was at the right height and brakes were tightened. I've been biking around Chicago with it for the last two weeks and haven't had a single issue. It's the perfect city bike! Nimble and quick and feels quality built.

    I love this bike

Assembly was very straightforward. Very comfortable but still very practical bike. Excellent value.

    Great bike! Five Stars!

I was looking for an affordable bike for my first triathlon. Just did a triathlon with this bike. It’s great. Easy to put it together — I assembled it at home and took it to the bike shop just to be sure and everything was good. All you have to do is to put the handle bar, the saddle, and the front wheel together. You don’t have to mess up with the breaks, etc. I love how affordable the bike is and how great it worked for my first triathlon. Highly recommend!

    Great bike for price

I really love my bike so far! It was easy to put together and everything has worked smoothly. My one important note is to SIZE DOWN. I got a medium frame and I’m 5’8 (which is the size recommendation is for M) with long legs, and my seat is at the lowest setting possible and I still am touching the ground with just my toes when stopped. If you are shorter than this I highly recommend going with the small frame.

Love the bike after a repair

After reassembling the bike, I realized its derailleur hanger was bent, causing malfunction in gear changing. I fixed it with my alignment tool and re-adjusted rear derailleur. I assume the hanger was bent during the packaging or delivery. It's something that can't be fixed with the tools provided in the package. Other than that, I'm happy with the bike.

    Hi Sae,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience concerning your derailleur hanger. We're glad that you were able to fix it but just know that we're here to support you, should you need us. We take great care in the packaging and shipping of our products, unfortunately, once the package is in the hands of the carrier, there is little we can do to impact the shipment -- occasionally damages during shipment do occur. That being said, it is not the experience we want for our customers and we will be sure to share your feedback with our team. We know you have many options of where to shop and we thank you for choosing retrospec!
