Director of Growth

We are seeking an experienced strategic and results-driven Director of Growth to lead and drive revenue growth by optimizing the digital funnel. This role is integral in shaping the future of our will lead initiatives to improve key performance metrics such as CVR, AOV, and LTV and co-manage a high-performing ecommerce team. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in driving growth ideally via Google Ads and Meta Ads, leading cross-functional teams, and optimizing digital strategies to maximize revenue, engagement, and brand presence. With excellent data analytic skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, the Director of Growth will be instrumental in advancing Retrospec's position as a leader in the outdoor space.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a successful E-Commerce growth and expansion strategy across all D2C sales channels in the short and long term that aligns with the company’s vision and business objectives, collaborating with Marketing Directors to execute.
  • Constantly analyze key performance metrics for all channels and provide actionable insights to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop our current performance marketing channels as well as identifying new channels for acquisition growth
  • Optimize the website to drive traffic, increase conversions, promote customer acquisition and retention, increase AOV/LTV, and develop sustainable growth 
  • Evolve and collaborate with Marketing Directors on the performance of paid channels, email, and sms through strategic data analysis & development
  • Lead ecommerce promotion strategy and collaborate with performance marketing team to hit revenue targets
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively to ensure optimal resource allocation, return on investment (ROI), and optimizing for maximum contribution margin.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director by providing actionable SEO insights from GA4 & GSC to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and technology developments, ensuring the brand remains innovative and competitive.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the Marketing Department to ensure a consistent, integrated digital strategy across all platforms.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) eCommerce, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior role.
  • Proven success in driving robust growth of an online store, overseeing eCommerce P&L, and managing sustainable growth while maintaining profitability.
  • Strong understanding & experience in Shopify ecosystem ecommerce tools, including but not limited to: Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Google Ads, Meta and reporting tools such as PowerBi, Northbeam & GA4
  • Strong understanding of paid marketing channels including Meta & Google, Email, and SMS
  • Strong data analytic skills, proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO, email, and SMS marketing tools.
  • Ability to develop financial projections and leverage analytics for decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple projects at once.
  • Meta Disruptor Program alumni status preferred.
