Independent Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking motivated, results-driven Independent Outside Sales Representatives to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving new business, strengthening existing partnerships, and helping retailers discover the depth of what Retrospec has to offer.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans within the assigned territory, focusing on in-person client engagement, relationship building, and market growth to achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Prospect new customers while nurturing and growing relationships with current accounts.
  • Present and demonstrate a full range of products—bikes, ebikes, watersports, camping, fitness, and more—highlighting the value of carrying a multi-category outdoor brand.
  • Negotiate terms of sale and contracts to achieve strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitive activity, providing feedback and insights to our internal teams.
  • Manage leads, opportunities, and sales activity through CRM software, reporting on performance and pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and customer service to maximize account success.
  • Represent Retrospec with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm at all times.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales, ideally within the outdoor sports or active lifestyle industries.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on creating value and long-term partnerships.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within territory, including some evenings or weekends.
