Modifications to Bicycles
Your Retrospec bicycle and its components have been designed and tested to perform safely and correctly for their intended purpose. Retrospec does not recommend the replacement of original equipment parts with non-original aftermarket components.
Retrospec cannot guarantee the performance of non-original aftermarket products installed or modifications made to its bicycles, including aftermarket power sources including, but not limited to, electric or gasoline motors, or that the bicycle will perform correctly when non-original equipment has been installed. Any such modifications can exceed the design limits of the bicycle and degrade its performance creating an unsafe condition for the user. The installation of non-original equipment parts may damage the frame and/or other components causing them to fail prematurely and/or catastrophically with the potential of causing serious injury to the rider including death.
ANY MODIFICATIONS MADE TO YOUR RETROSPEC BICYCLE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE REPLACEMENT OF PARTS OR COMPONENTS WITH NON-ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT OR THE ADDITION OF AFTERMARKET MOTORS VOIDS THE WARRANTY.
