Our fastest custom electric bikes can reach speeds of up to 28 miles per hour, and are capable of power both with up to six levels of pedal assist and a push-to-go throttle.

Our highest range custom electric bikes can travel for up to 72 miles on a single charge, thanks to a robust 500W planetary geared hub motor and 48V/720Wh lithium-ion batteries. Keep in mind that your bike’s range is influenced by the level of pedal assist and throttle you use, as well as the incline of the terrain you’re riding on. 

Battery charging time for a custom ebike varies, but most of the lithium-ion batteries that power our e-bikes take between 3 and 5 hours to fully charge. Best of all, these LG 21700 batteries, seamlessly integrated into the bike frame, can be charged either on or off the bike!

Our lead time for custom electric bike orders is slightly longer than our lead time for normal custom bikes. Expect a ballpark lead time of four to six months from the time you begin designing your e-bike to the time it arrives at your doorstep.

We do not have an in-house maintenance or repair team at Retrospec. However, our dealer network is diverse and expansive, so as you go through the order process, we will do our best to connect you with a repair shop in your area that will be able to maintain and repair your ebike fleet as needed.

Currently, people who use their ebikes directly for their job—such as food delivery couriers and bike messengers—can deduct some expenses. Commutes are not covered under ethos tax law, however, so this does not apply to people who bike to work, even if they are self-employed.
