How to measure my inseam for a bike

Your inseam can help you find the perfect sized bike (measuring it properly is similar to pant inseams but measured a little differently). Here's how they work:

Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

Please don't let China write and make the instructions. Several pages and drawings are actually inverted and backwards. Use actuall photos so we can see what it is supposed to look like. The gears and brake lines were completely twisted and had to be removed and straightened out. It might be best to leave them off because we spent an hour trying to untwist until we realized it was impossible. We had just put a bike the week before so it wasn't too bad but if you could fix the few things in the instructions, it would be great.
Our granddaughter loves the bike and is learning how to change gears. The bike itself is very well made.

Great bike, easy to put together.
Took about 45 mins to unpack and put together. I used a Youtube video rather than the instructions because I'm a bit more visual. Once I had it together I walked it to our local bike shop to have it looked over for any flaws in my assembly and adjusted for my daughter's height and arm length. It's a great bike. It rides smooth and the gears shift easily. My 8 year old daughter struggles with the gears, they're a little tight for smaller hands, but in 3-6 months, I expect her to be able to use them, and for now she'll keep the bike in the middle gear. I like that the gears are on the same side as a back break, then kids only need to worry about working their hands on one side. Great colors, my daughter chose the yellow color.

Great Bike
It is quite over-built for an 8-year old in the best way. Frame is heavy duty while being light enough for ger to handle. Disc brakes stop on a dime, shocks take on rough sidewalks (really rough), shifting is flawless and the dual tail reflectors are just cool. The seat was stiff and was replaced but expected. She is the cool kid in the bike lane at school.
