So far it’s worth the money.. a little flimsy, but it’s not a $400 bike rack. But I take a giant trance ebike and a yt Capra.. so about 75lbs and i have no worries. So far I’ve been on 5 rides with it, over 50 miles from my house.. again.. it is not the most stable thing in the world, but it’s not going anywhere lol
Fast delivery of a great product. Assembly went without a hitch. Very sturdily built. Extremely satisfied with the rack and the price. Would definitely recommend it.
Overall- a solid sturdy rack. Just a little heavier than I expected. Also I have a 1 1/4 inch receiver- the bike rack fit very tightly into it. I had to sand some of the paint off the rack to get it to fit- not a bad problem, except it may be prone to rust now. Not a big deal- just coated it in grease.
I purchased a Lenox bike rack a couple of days ago. After installing it and putting it in my car I tested it out. Both my bikes where put on in a couple of minutes and both were very secure. The reason I gave 5 - stars was for the customer service. First of all the bike rack arrived one day earlier than expected. Secondly, I noticed that one of the square bushing was damaged. I immediately emailed Retrospec and they sent me an email back and asked for me to send them a picture of the parts. No more than 30 minutes later I received an email that the part was on the way. I would have paid double the cost up front if I had to if I knew these guys had this type of customer service!
Better quality than I expected. Thick wall steel construction and the powder coat finish looks great. It comes with all tools necessary to assemble except a 3/4 inch wrench to tighten it on the hitch. Just tighten the bolt to secure it soundly so it won’t rattle. If one does not have a 3/4 wrench to tighten the pin it will rattle but the pin is held securely with a clip.
