The product is awesome. Service is awesome. Shipping nightmare with happy ending. Delivered to wrong house. Hassle to get it back from neighbor I don't know. It worked out though. Less than genius delivery person + bad neighbor= crud. Not at all Retro fault.
This weekend was my first chance I had to take out my board and try it out for the first time. I have to say, I am definitely impressed! I give it 4 stars only because the I do believe it could be slightly better quality and ease of use in terms of inflating (I tried using my air compressor for tires and it doesn't work on the inflating piece so I was forced to manually pump) However, manually pumping it really is not that bad at all... didn't take too long, and the deflating is SUPER simple and fast too! I should have pumped it more than 10-12 psi as recommended on board, and the pump said 15 psi , so I wasn't sure. I didn't go too far being first time on water with it by myself, but I think if I went further it would have done better with a tiny bit more air. I also had my small cooler and JBL speaker on the front strapped down, and I am 130 lb girl, so perhaps the added weight called for a 15 psi. The paddle isn't the greatest quality, and it kept loosening the height adjustment and cinching down to be too short, so that was a bit annoying. But overall, WOW this board does the trick, works great for still waters (I paddled a river fork in south florida which is very calm) and never fell, got wet without wanting to, and all my belongings stayed perfectly secured and pretty stable with the built-in bungees on the board itself. I also found the fin assembly and dissemble very easy and low maintenance. I recommend this board for anyone looking for stability, easy use to get up and go, and traveling! Also good for beginners. Have not tried yoga on it yet... that is next trip! :)
The board is great and functions as advertised. I have been disappointed with the paddle. The part of the paddle that you can adjust does not lock into place. It remains loose after adjustment and slides back down. I’ve tried to tighten the mechanism up but it is difficult to do without out the risk of breaking it.
We love how easy to pack this SUP around and how light it is. It is great for learning and relaxing!
Awesome they are the best boards I’ve ever used!
