How to measure my inseam for a bike

Your inseam can help you find the perfect sized bike (measuring it properly is similar to pant inseams but measured a little differently). Here's how they work:

  1. Stand upright with your feet 6-8" apart.
  2. Using a tape measure or tailor tape, measure from the bottom of your foot to the top of the inside of your leg.
  3. Compare your inseam measurement to the standover height of the bike. You should have about an inch of space between your body and the top tube.

    Chatham

Relatively easy to assemble. The brake instructions were ok but getting online and finding a YouTube video on brake adjustments were more helpful. I like the bike. Gears working good. Good price on a basic 7 speed for someone that doesn’t ride a lot but intends to change that.

    Perfect for my needs!

Couldn’t be happier with this bike, don’t even have to add “for the price.” Prefer this bike to my last one, whose 7 speed cruiser costs literally double. I ignored Retrospec’s admonition to not motorize and added a 250w front hub motor ebike kit, added mirror, lights, and upgraded saddle. I’m 70 and live in a somewhat hilly area, like to ride 10-15 miles a day. This is the perfect bike for my needs!

    Love it!

I gifted this to my husband. I was able to build it by myself and he has had only positive things to say while taking it out for casual rides. I’m thinking of getting one for myself now!

    Excellent Bike!

Love my new bike. I have severe tendon inflammation in my right elbow and my existing road bike, became unrideable because of the pain. I needed a bike where I would be more upright, putting less strain on my elbow and my Chatham Beach Cruiser is absolutely perfect. Have ridden it non-stop since the day it arrived. Very lightweight and comfortable to ride. Love it!

    Chatham 7 speed

Bike came well packaged and was easy to put together. have found that gear derailer is off and its harder to pedal than my last bike? may have to take it to a bike shop but there's another $80? to tune it.
