Our sale collection is a category that includes all gear from all retrospec gear categories—EBike, Bike, Bike Gear, Water, Skate, Snow, Exercise, Camp, and Kids—that is currently on sale. This makes it easy to find the best gear at the best prices and see all the discounts currently offered at retrospec. All our sale items are also accessible for the same price through their respective category pages, but the sale page gathers them all in one place for fast access. The sale section is primarily made up of gear that is either currently low-stock or “Legacy” models that may not be restocked in the future. Sale offers are subject to change and only available while supplies last.

Not necessarily. Just because a product is on sale, does not mean all of its colors, sizes, and other variations are available for the sale price. Often a certain size or color variant is discounted, and others are not, based on our current stock.

There is no price limit to the discounts you can find in our sale collection, but discounts can be up to 50% off or more. For a water bottle, this might mean $10 off. For an electric bike it could mean savings of hundreds of dollars.

An item marked “Legacy” is from an older generation of retrospec gear, and is in the process of being discontinued or, in many cases, replaced with an improved, updated version of the same product. Sometimes just one color or variant will be Legacy; other times, an entire product line. Legacy items are commonly found on sale while stock lasts. To be clear, our Legacy gear is in no way recalled or otherwise defective. Many pieces of Legacy gear are actually bestsellers. Legacy gear is simply, for a variety of reasons, being phased out, typically because it has been updated with a new-and-improved version. Purchasing Legacy gear on sale is one of the best ways to get affordable, high-quality ebikes, paddleboards, and other outdoor gear from retrospec!

While we do offer seasonal sales that run for a given time period, you can always visit our sale page to see all the retrospec gear that is currently on sale. In many cases, a sale price will be available until a given product (or variant) is out of stock. If a sale product is in extremely low stock, you’ll see a tag that reads “High risk of selling out” on its product page, below the “Add To Cart” button. If that’s the case, act fast if you want to take advantage of the discounted price!

We do run seasonal sales from time to time, such as over the winter holiday season. However, our sale collection is not seasonal. It is an aggregate of all retrospec gear that is currently discounted, including gear or variants that are low in stock or have been discontinued.

Our gear typically goes on sale when there is limited stock, it has been discontinued, or it has been marked as a “Legacy” item. Sometimes, sale prices are limited to specific product variants (colors, sizes, styles, etc.); other times, they are available for an entire product.

Yes! All retrospec gear, including any of the gear in our sale collection, is eligible for a variety of “buy now, pay later” plans. Currently, we integrate with several financing systems—Affirm, Afterpay, and ShopPay—all of which allow you to pay for your order in installments. Yes! Just because gear is on sale doesn’t mean you can’t return it. All our sale gear is eligible for our standard 50-day return policy, just like full-priced gear. However, returns are subjective to certain terms and conditions. See our Returns & Exchanges page for more information.

Unless otherwise specified, the warranty terms for sale gear are identical to that for full-priced gear. However, because we craft a wide array of outdoor gear at retrospec, we have no across-the-board policy, and warranties vary by product. Our award-winning bicycles, for example, feature a “Limited Lifetime Warranty.” Gear with a more finite lifespan, such as ski and snowboard helmets, come with a two-year warranty.
