While folding electric bikes are increasingly popular, flying with one is unfortunately off-limits. Due to safety concerns, planes do not allow lithium ion batteries on board, which are an integral part of most electric bikes. That said, there are ways to work around this limitation by disassembling the bike and removing the battery but it is generally discouraged due to risk of damage during the transportation process.
