Usefulness - We bought two of these light, aluminum frames bikes to use instead of our heavy mountain bikes when we go camping. They have been great on trips or for using at home too.
The Judd folding bikes are much lighter than our old mountain bikes and, when folded, the two easily fit in the back of our Subaru Outback, with plenty of room left over for a large electric cooler, golf clubs, and a bunch of other stuff.
We will no longer have to choose whether to bring the tandem kayak and gear OR the bikes, because with these folding bikes, we can now bring both!
Coaster Brake - The simple coaster brake reminds me of the bikes I had as a kid. The lack of cables for brakes and gears simplifies the folding/unfolding processes and prevents tangling when packing the two bikes together.
Pedals - The pedals fold with a spring-loaded mechanism to make the bike narrower when stored or when rolling between to cars in the garage.
Seat Post - The seat post is EXTRA LONG and widely adjustable to easily fit my wife at 5'2" or me at 6'1".
Do NOT try to do wheelies on this bike since that long exposed seat post will no doubt bend like overcooked spaghetti.
Handlebars - Comfortable grips. The handlebars are also nicely adjustable. I can raise them up for a comfortable upright riding position. I don't have to lean forward and put additional load on my wrists, which can no longer tolerate the sportier riding position.
I can feel the handlebar post assembly flex a bit if I put load…
